Profiles¶

Profiles describe reusable accountable-surface patterns for repository classes.

A profile identifies common protected surfaces, typical surface roles, review requirements, evidence requirements, and permitted AI authority for a kind of repository.

Role of profiles¶

Profiles are templates for applying .accountability/surfaces.toml consistently. They do not replace the manifest. The manifest remains the repository-specific authority declaration.

A repository may adapt a profile when its actual surfaces require different review, evidence, or AI-authority rules.
